Kako stvari vznikajo

The emergence of text. How? Emergence of life, thought … What drives the emergence of new (being). What is “a being”? What is “not-being”? Who or what drives us? What is our vehicle? Something physical? Something biological? Something supernatural?

What drives text? Or better: how the text drives us? Or even better: how are we driven by meme complexes? What is our role in morphology of meme complexes?

Text about driving? Driving of brands or driving relations? What are phisics, biology, nevrology talking to human sciences?

Are brands “only” bio-complexes?

Is driving ethical? Even if we do not know by what we are driven? What builds us? Wisdom? Power? Beauty?

Arts vs. Culture and Science vs. Technology

Let us simplify for a purpose of possible wider interest on this topic. Simplification rests on the fact, that I will not analyze all constituent elements of each concept (meme) taken in consideration but only few of them.

Culture is driven from the interst of consumer while on the other side arts are driven intrinsically from artists themselves. That does not mean that there does not exist secondary driver for arts and artists, that is called “audience”, “market” and so on, but this is only secondary driver subjected to the first one. Artists are driven primarily from their intrinsic mission; their “added value”, business model, brand value… is based on intrinsic will, vision and power. Paradoxically we can see, that there exist no market for culture, that would be separated from culture, like there exist market separated from arts as arts market. Culture is a market in itself. The fact, that arts and artists are often implanted in a cultural sphere is in fact ephemeral for culture itself. But this ephemeral fact contributes larger part of permanent confusion in our heads, that is seen in almost all public institutions that try to follow both paths at the same time. This is in fact impossible task, because the brand core of culture aims so radically away from arts as possible. That is a reason for constant frustration on all “cultural ministries” and a large part of a frustration of that national european media that have a double mission: to serve it’s audience and national artists at the same time. Individual and national culture is a part of individual and national economy. It is performed on a specific market, that can not be separated from the product like there is an intrinsic market existing for each and every goods. This is also an explanation why each and every human being is a part of several different cultural submarkets, but not necessary to any of arts markets! That is why we say that there exist a culture of clothing, eating, - but also a market of rave concerts, classical music concerts - but also soccer game culture market. They do all exist on the same level and are all necessary levels of human culture;  like we say that clothing is necessary - but different from place to place on the globe.

There exist a strong parallel with science and technology. Science is driven intrinsically. Business model of scientists rests on citations, lectures, references, conferences and similar evaluation strategies that discern good from not so good and better paid from lower paid. Science world as such exists in a parallel world with technology. In fact there is no transmission between two of them. Illusion that there could be and that even we should work on better transmission between these two worlds to achieve results on economy level is one of more disastrous burdens on innovation, technology development and also national economy. Technology, that partly use (and abuse) science is in fact a vital part of economy, or better said, a part of a brand identity of commercial goods that are or have to be linked to technology. We can even say that marketing field is (should be) more frequent gust of technological development than science. And even if science is a guest, it is only a guest (from another world).

That is why we need a special public funds for science and arts - as both most important parts of national development, but we should not mix this funds and this two functions with possible public funds for culture and technology. There is sometimes a need to fund culture and there is sometimes a need to support technological development, but we should be aware that in later two cases we are supporting commercial cultural institutions and commercial companies and their interests first and only secondary (if at all) interests of artists and scientists.

  1. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it! best reseller hosting | cpanel reseller |
